Hello Readers!

I guess this started with my love for old things. Rummaging through my great-grandma’s house in Oklahoma and my Grandmother Alice’s house that was on 62nd street here in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s always been a THING with me. I think my memory of growing up in South Kansas City, Missouri in the 80’s and 90’s is pretty impeccable. I always loved to not only hear stories of the past from my family members, but now as an adult I love to share my experiences of the past. Which brings me to why I want to research and explore more to write more about history, specifically OUR history.

I’d also like to share about my family history and the search for more information I went on back in 2018 to find more information about my mother’s side of the family which is a bit of a mystery in part still. My father’s side of the family an aunt and my father have found history going back to slavery time so that part of the family is pretty clear. There’s always something new to learn.
